[/b] I chuckled lightly in that weird way I have and walk around the small oasis, my hooves sinking into the sand and muck, only to be pulled up and put down again.
let's get ourselves started ;;
;; PERHAPS SOME BASICS
name ;; aracadia
age ;; four years
gender ;; maiden
alliance ;; noche
position ;; Queen
now that that's squared away ;;
;; LET'S GET MORE COMPLICATED
appearance ;; click (what she looks like)
Ara has a very different look to her then most. She is full Marwari, complete with the strange arched backward ears. She stands at 16.1 hands high, tall for her rather short ancestors. Ara has a multi-color coat; black, white, and gray, gray because of when black fades to white. Neither of the colors really takes over a majority of her body, it is pretty equal for the two. Most of her face is black along with half of her neck, though she does have a white star in the center of her forehead. Her rump is also mainly black, only a few white spots showing. Her limbs are very white, not a speck of black showing on them, unless you count where her limb reaches her torso and her single hind leg where the black reaches halfway down her leg. Her mane is multi-colored, switching from black to white, while her tail is just solid black.
Ara is built very lean and muscular. She isn't thin or dainty like many mares look, instead she is built much like a stallion or gelding, without the extra muscle. Her neck is thicker then most Marawari's and at times it is hard for her to breathe or swallow. Her legs are slender and her hooves small, but well formed. She is very hardy and can easily keep up with the best of endurance runners, of course she was built for it. Her eyes are a stormy, misty gray with green flecks.
personality ;;
Ara is shy and never speaks out of turn, actually she has been called a mute before, because of how little she speaks. She is easily intimidated, though you must touch or speak to her, for she cannot see. Yes, she is blind, but she uses her instincts and others to help her. She tries not to count on equines too much, they have their own problems. and she is complicated enough. So she normally relies on an orphaned Rhesus Macaque Monkey. Because Ara doesn't know the orphan's name she just calls her Cai. Ara holds no grace or beauty, she was made fun of often and thinks not of what anyone thinks of her, unless she must or they are close to her. She prefers to be left alone and doesn't care for company, because no one cares for hers.
Besides being a shy and quiet mare she can be quite determined and persistent. When she wants to do something or just plain wants something she'll do it, no matter what any one says. She may be easily intimidated and quiet, but she is very much like any other equine, stubborn and not entirely helpless. She can tell you that she hates when someone thinks that she can do nothing because she is blind, she can do almost as much as any other, just differently. She is not quick to respond to words, but her tongue is sharp. Often she is sarcastic when it is unnecessary. She isn't a pacifist by any means, she will just as likely fight as any other horse and is quite the fighter as well. Just because her eyesight is gone, it doesn't mean that she can't fight.

;; YOU'LL HAVE TO DO MORE
sample post ;;As a mare from the Noche I was long used to the dark, eerie, dense air, but the Dia filled flowing air was hard on my lungs and made my eyes hurt and sting like any of the Dia nations' eyes would hurt if they were caught in the air of my Noche lands. Since I had burnt some of the foliage and the cool breezy air, the place seemed less collapsed and more wide, my senses opened and flourished with the new found freedom.
Stormy grey eyes that had long been glazed over turned to the faceless, colorless figure. Behind my open eyes a secret laid that most would be able to figure out as soon as their own eyes laid upon my own; I was blind. I didn't think this horse would be so ignorant as to not know that I was blind, but then again... I had thought a lot about what others thought of me. Obviously I needed to quit doing that. My ears twisted towards the silent stranger, nostrils flared as the scent came flying towards me.
Male. Another one? When was I ever going to meet another mare? First it had been Sabin, the long gone king of another place, whom I had met in his own terra. I liked to think that we had become friends after our encounter, not that we really talked much, but I considered him more friend then ruler. Perhaps that was my down fall, I didn't consider anyone my ruler. Now there was another male and he smelt of.... ick Dia. Great, just what I need, a Dia stallion here, probably to get me out of the Dia Lands. But the strange thing was, while he smelt of light he also smelt of non-elemental, how confusing is that, but then again, not all equines held elemental abilities.
And then he spoke, Sorry for intruding.. Didn’t mean to scare you.. His voice was calm and I got the overwhelming feeling that he was trying not to scare me.... Wow, trying not to scare me. I had probably fought in the war with this Dia stallion and he was trying not to frighten me! Ha! If a physic Noche didn't scare me what chance did he think he had with frightening me? Stepping deeper down into the cool water I turned my head towards the figure's voice and said in an easy, light voice that was just slightly amused, You didn't intrude or scare me. In fact if anyone was intruding it was me.
I lowered my muzzle into the pool and drew out a few gulps of the cool liquid. When I lift my muzzle from the pool I say, I mean this is after all Dia terra if I'm not mistaken, this light air is all but familiar to me. I give a pleasant smile, apparently I am in a strange cheery mood this day and it is all strangely foreign to me, but such things do not show upon my face as I turn my sightless eyes to the newcomer.
Forgive me, I am Aracadia, of the Noche, and you are?
ooc: i didn't know which element to give her so i just used the one that her character had on another site.[/size]

why you're the right choice ;;
Well, I don't like creating horses that are typical to the side that they are on and I thought that it would be cool to have a less "dark" horse in the noche herd. Plus there arent a lot of noche horses so i thought it would be nice to create one. Aracadia isn't the stereotypical "dark side" horse so i thought that with her being quiet and all that she would be a different type of character and i like making rather odd ball characters.
